I hate babar.
I hate babar.
Lol, I knew that was coming.
Babar, I am just saying you should try heroin before you knock it, and that only happens if you become a junkie and shoot up all the time. Most people I know just shoot up once in a while. I'm not telling you to become a junkie.
So I see all these reports about it not causing cancer. That doesn’t mean that it’s good for you ignoramuses. It still causes emphysema and other lovely things. Potheads are about as funny sometimes as black history month.

"Frequent marijuana smokers experience adverse respiratory symptoms from smoking, including chronic cough, chronic phlegm, and wheezing. However, the only prospective clinical study shows no increased risk of crippling pulmonary disease (chronic bronchitis and emphysema)."
Where do you get your information from or do you just assume things. Also no one said it was good for you to smoke it. That does not mean however that marijuana is not good for you because ingesting it in other ways can be extremely beneficial.
Christ you potheads are picky.

This would be better if you did an 8-ball of blow and fucked bitches
I'm sorry. I was wrong. It's good for your lungs. Smoke more.
That article is inaccurate because you don't usually smoke 1 gram of weed (average size of a cigarette) in a joint to yourself opposed to a cigarette where you smoke it all to yourself.
I did have a life changing even that changed my perspective on life. It was called a near death experience. I'm just not feeling the vibe you get when you want to smoke a blunt.
I don't read comic books. I admit posting on this forum isn't very productive. My "high" comes from working out at the gym, not from inhaling stuff and getting high. I'm just sorry, the head injury I had from my accident makes stupid enough as it is, I don't need to get high or drunk or end up doing something very stupid and dangerous because i'm not myself.
Okay fine, here is more scientific data.
"However, the only prospective clinical study shows no increased risk of crippling pulmonary disease (chronic bronchitis and emphysema)."
Does not translate into
"Smoke as much as you want you aren't getting cancer or emphysema."
I have a hard time understanding why you think inhaling smoke and holding it in won't negatively affect your lungs.

FYI I don't mind people smoking pot, I just find most post smokers annoying idiots.
biff pretty much already said it
both kal el and babar just linked to propaganda sites. I'm sure there is valuable information in there, but the fact that it's there is useless when you realize that you have to wade through a ton of bullshit to find it.
link me to a neutral, third-party site that isn't a news article and maybe i'll believe your shit.
Ok, the vast majority of your articles linked are not good sources of information. When we are talking about events, then newspapers and journals are an acceptable source to use, but the tendency for the media to sensationalize the most trivial scientific discovery renders them a bad source, because then the actual discovery and report itself are filtered again with the bias in mind to exagerrate portions that the author believes will attract moer readers. Science journals may be bland, but they are your only real reliable source for studies on this matter.
In the area about lung cancer, the only source you used that was valid was WebMD, but a search on the first two pages of WebMD for marijuana yielded:

and keep in mind this is from a study done in 2007, not 2000 like the article you quoted in your post. SourceOriginally Posted by webmd

This was probably the best source you used in all your links. The thing to keep in mind, though, is that they used a really limited about of test subjects (ten and ten controls), and the test relied on subject honesty. The data itself is not conclusive, although it indicates a direction further studies should go down. In the journals own words:
Strictly speaking, in adolescents there is little evidence one way or the other that weed will distort their brain, but there are established links between marijuana and schizophrenia and psychosis, where weed is not strictly the cause, but tends to exacerbate symptoms.Originally Posted by harm reduction journal
keep in mind that the IQ gains could easily be making up for lost ground, and your implication that marijuana allowed for the IQ gain is juvenile and false. There are many reasons IQs could rise, and smoking pot is one of the least likelyOriginally Posted by you

In summation, your links provided little useful information, and the vast majority of it is easily refutable with a marginally more comprehensive look into the subject. Next time, I suggest reading the articles you link to and seeing whether or not they really help your case. Avoid using media as a source for scientific news, because it's main tendency is towards sensationalism, and finally, stop smoking weed.
I don't agree with the part about schizophrenia and psychosis because quite a few people take up smoking so they are baked and don't have to deal with reality. I'd argue, without any evidence, that these conditions were already present.
I also don't agree with the stop smoking weed part. Just don't post about it every time you get high and don't think your support of medical pot fools anyone.
both the links iin question state that weed doesn't cause these things, but if you are predisposed towards them, it makes the symptoms worse. For some, it can be the proverbial snowflake, and for others it's simply another factor that keeps the psychosis going strong.
So, yes, the conditions were always present. I never said they weren't.

Dude, put me on your team... i could smoke an eighth in like 15 minutes.
I've done all of those as well. I wonder if I should get help.
