If this really worked like they advertise this technology would just be ridiculous.

Watching it again I'm curious if the product shown is in real time or if some of that stuff that is projected is just super imposed images.
Can someone please explain to me what the fuck these "TED talks" are?
They just seem like ways for semi-famous people to self-aggrandize.
Nonetheless, this technology is extremely cool, though I still don't understand what this woman means by "6th sense technology." What "6th sense"? Does she mean "intuitive"?
TED is pretty cool. It's an international intellectual circlejerk. But I really like a lot of the people who speak at TED and I enjoy watching the videos.
Yes, new and improved technology for better porn experiences.

Its really scary really, how advanced technology is getting. Why on earth do you need this kind of shit? I get by just fine with minimal technology. Although it may be very cool and fascinating, its very unnecessary (and an eyesore).
Motorized carriages were also once viewed as unnecessary, my horse & buggy works just fine dag-nabbit!
Cars are quite un-necessary. We managed to do fine without them before. And now we have a dependence on foreign oil, and are draining the world of all of our petroleum. We have become the most unsustainable society imaginable. Yeah sure technology makes things convenient, but now people have become completely lazy and dependent on it. What I was getting at is we managed fine before (probably better, everybody had skills way back when, a specialized skill, and the village couldn't go on without that specific person doing that specific skill.) We should learn to do things on our own because one day technology isn't going to do its job anymore. I hate to mention such a shitty movie as I-Robot, but I can definitely see something similar on a lesser scale happening like that.
Don't listen to me though, I want to move to the alaskan wilderness and live off the land. And I'm sitting in front of a television and a laptop right now.
At one time they may have been unnecessary, when people lived on farms far from each other, self-sufficient and only seeing their neighbors once in a very long while.
Now, it's pretty much expected that one has access to a motor vehicle if one is not living in the middle of a major city.
Good. I won't.Don't listen to me though, I want to move to the alaskan wilderness and live off the land. And I'm sitting in front of a television and a laptop right now.
Alright, while I do think its sad how dependent we've become on technology today, I do agree that without it we'd be lost. We have come to a point in humanity where we need it. So while this specific technology is cool, I just find it very unecessary.

Air conditioning is also unnecessary. This argument about how we're "dependent" on technology is silly. We evolved past living off hunting/gathering. Yes, there are a lot of obese/lazy/tech-obsessed/video-game-playing folks, but that doesn't mean evolution isn't working. Being lost without a coffee maker doesn't mean we're not more advanced than when we didn't know what coffee was.
Who the fuck would honestly walk around wearing one of those things....
EDIT: and after reading jacobs posts, you are stupid.....that is all.

Not stupid, I just think differentlty then you. No need to insult me because of my views on technology and How i'd like to live.

Haha, now my fellow members want me dead. All for just thinking the way I do. I feel like Martin Luther King Jr.

Relax. Nobody wants you dead except shinysides, and he's kind of an idiot.
yeah, I'd settle with hideously maimed
EDIT:
We have a series at work where they shows a couple of the TED talks every month and I generally attend them (because I get paid for it.)
Some of them are really cool and some of them are self-righteous, short-dicked douchebags, and most of them are both.
Jacob you are an idiot.
