Hello all, I'll probably wait till winter to do this so I don't end up losing any important computer functionalities while I'm still at school, but before I moved my landlord gave me a Kingston V+100 128GB SSD.
My question is, what exactly do I do with it.
I know in the winter, I'll open it up, plug it into my computer, and then install Windows 7 on it, but what other things am I supposed to do? I'm assuming it's not as easy as that. I have a 1.5TB Internal right now (which is partitioned as C and D right now), would I just leave that as is, and tell computer to boot off SSD (which I now assume would be C: Drive. And do I install drivers and such to the SSD as well. Would all my files on my internal be fine, or would I need to reinstall some? I think where I'm most confused is just how things were installed, and if it'll stay fine. And if path directories will still be fine as well.
Googled a bit but don't really see any questions as specific as mine. Also feeling lazy, and rather see if anyone else here has had any prior experience. Of course I'll back up my 1.5TB to my external 2TB.
I also already have Arconis, is that gonna help at all?
My 1.5TB internal is fairly big so I don't mind leaving the OS on there instead of having to redo everything.
Else, I guess I don't mind keeping all my files on an external, wiping everything clean, and installing Windows 7 on the SSD and then everything else on the internal.
How would I go about wiping it/formatting it though, and whenever I install new applications, those just go to the internal?
