So your modem physically reboots/restarts? As in all the lights go off for a second, and it begins it's start up cycle?
Something like this^ would have been good in the original post. Other info that would/could help are things like, does the connection stay down until you physically do something? Does your connection just stop for a few seconds and then comes? Also whether or not you are remotely computer savvy (I assume that's a no) to then determine if we need to explain how to ping/trace route and other basic trouble shooting things like that or if we can assume you have tried these (which if you have you should mention along with results)
See we are not there to mess around with your pc so with very little information there is very little any of us could do unless someone has the patience and the heart to post every question that can be helpful with a simple answer or walk you threw everything step by step (which I doubt there are few people here willing to do this)
I don't mean to be rude at all but given the circumstances this is very much like a person calling a mechanic and saying "Something is wrong with my car, whats wrong with it?" and nothing else.
This could be a number of things; Software, Hardware, ISP issues. Three major things this could be all of which have different symptoms. However given the latest info about the situation I'm leaning toward a hardware issue with the modem. They shouldn't just power cycle on their own. If this is the case you should call your ISP and inform them that you believe your modem is malfunctioning. If they are even the slightest bit of a decent company they should be out in a few days to replace it.
