    Yeah but people drive less in the UK. I mean where are you going to drive to? It's a tiny country compared to the US.

    Petrol is £0.94 a litre at the moment. Compared to what the prices were (£1.20), I'm saving around £10 a tank on about 40~ litres of petrol. I fill up once a week / do 400+ miles a week, so I'm making a nice saving!

    No, no, she has a point. Brits bike and walk a lot, at least all of the ones I've ever seen in England. Americans don't do such things because stuff is too far apart here. I've driven in 12 hours what would be all of Great Britain up and down twice. There is not as much of a need for gas in the UK than in America.

    England is 1.6% the size of the US mainland. I've probably driven farther in one vacation trip than you have in one year.

    Yeah you're right I guess. People here walk 50+ miles to work every day just because the country is so damn small!

    Also, to shit on your parade, I've driven over 15k miles in the last 9 months...
