And fm, where do you live? Around here milk is like $3.70 a gallon. I didn't think milk prices varied that much from place to place.

Milk is about $3.99 a gallon in stores, but half that at the Commissary. A year ago I was spending $1.47 for a gallon of skim.
It's still like 2.29-2.39 in my area, with premium being 2.69-2.79.
In the UK we pay about £1 per litre, thats £4.50 per gallon which is about $7. Nobody in America has the right to complain about gas prices, especially if you are paying $2 a gallon - thats just sickening.
Yeah but people drive less in the UK. I mean where are you going to drive to? It's a tiny country compared to the US.
I remember seeing it for $1.98 at Jersey Gas in dirty Lakewood, NJ the other day.
Petrol is £0.94 a litre at the moment. Compared to what the prices were (£1.20), I'm saving around £10 a tank on about 40~ litres of petrol. I fill up once a week / do 400+ miles a week, so I'm making a nice saving!
I hope this is just a joke rather than plain ignorance and stupidity.
Still around $2.45 a gallon here
No, no, she has a point. Brits bike and walk a lot, at least all of the ones I've ever seen in England. Americans don't do such things because stuff is too far apart here. I've driven in 12 hours what would be all of Great Britain up and down twice. There is not as much of a need for gas in the UK than in America.
Been between $1.16 and $1.29 a litre this week, which is $4.39-$4.88 (Australian) a gallon.
According to this website, in 2008, people in the U.S are paying an average $2.97 a gallon while people in Australia are paying an average $7.64(U.S) a gallon.
You're the exception that proves the rule, and his friend Jesus
it was $2.15 a gallon here a few days ago. It's been dropping pretty fast. I'm guessing it'll be under $2 by next week.
I think the price of gasoline has finally stabilized because the price here hasn't changed more than a cent in the past week.
I was thinking the same thing KT_ it stayed steady most of last week but this morning it was selling as cheap as $1.85 a gallon around here.(bout a 10-15 cent drop)
1.78 and still dropping where I live, but expect prices to stabalize and maybe even go up a little as we get closer to Thanksgiving, and even more at christmas. Then it'll drop again in January and February, unless the market super-rallies or OPEC actually does something instead of just talking about doing stuff like usual.
$2.09 in Madison WI. Been at that price for most of last week.
I just paid $1.76. Topped off the truck from empty for only $42.
$1.83 in the lovely Toms River, New Jersey.
84 cents a litre.
$1.76-$1.86 here in Indianapolis
2.04 and 2.24 in Northern Minnesota. Further south it's cheaper though (I think my friend said 1.92)
$1.06-$1.10 a litre in Sydney today.
This summer I spent $90 on a tank of gas.
Today I filled up for $42.
Gas was at $1.93/gallon
