Ashton make some really good flavored tobacco for pipes. I have a few tins of them.

And you need a pipe tamper to keep it lit. You will have to pack it as you take a puff a few times. Takes a little while to get it down, but its not hard.

A nail with a descent sized head will work just as well as a tamper though.
