If you're lucky, and then not much more than that. The "bullet stopping" power of Kevlar helmets is really just a placebo for the troops that wear them. A troop that might not be safe, but at least feels like it is going to be much more effective than one that doesn't feel safe at all. Yes, you can get one that could probably stop a bullet, but the Gov't Issue aren't that nice.
Kevlar helmets can run anywhere from $170 to $400 and sometimes even upwards of that. It all depends on the type of Kevlar and how many layers of it and other features/accessories.
