You are right, but then again if they had a defense that was worth something they wouldn't have to play catch-up.

I think that in truth any quarterback could lead the Chiefs to being legitimate contenders in 3-5 years, because they have a young and promising O-line and receiving core, and within that time they can build a defense to go with it. I just have a soft spot for Thiggy I guess because he saved my ass in fantasy, lol.

Of course, all of this is dependent upon who their coach ends up being. If they get Shanahan or some shit like that they aren't going anywhere.
