actually, i'm pretty sure that because of the nature of the game, you need considerable rhythmic talent and tonal descrimination to be very good at it. i mean it's not like playing an actual guitar but that doesn't mean it's completely separate from musical talent.

edit: in fact after watching the video i'm convinced -- you can't do that without musical talent. lots of it. i heard and saw his fingers speed up and slow down as he corrected himself and you just can't do that with flashing lights on the screen.
