I met one of the main people from Procul Harum when I was too young to give a shit who they were.
I hadn't realized before that the organ intro, interludes and outro were based on Air on G string (shut up that's what it's called) from Bach's 3rd Orchestral Suite...

Bach titled the movement as an "Air," not an "Aria." They mean the same fucking thing anyway except that the suite was a French musical form, so all the movements in Bach's Orchestral Suites have French names.
I think you overestimate the maturity levels of the remnant that's still here.

It wasn't an Aria (obviously) but it is indeed titled Aria, which is Italian for Air, not French, though it was indeed written in a French style.
Air in French is "Air".
