i mean you really are the reason people don't take fans of stuff seriously. you can't just like something and not be a complete dweeb about it? i guess i'd understand -- partly -- if what you made was good, even vaguely, but that is really appalling. you couldn't have done this in someone's backyard, protected by a really high fence, without filming it, and without associating it with a preexisting franchise -- just so other people are free to like star wars and lord of the rings and WOW and firefly and douglas adams without everyone else conjuring up visions of you douchebags? people like you ruin liking things for everyone else.
