Um, no... it would not have taken 3 years to get to trial and finish. It would have taken a couple months to go to trial.

Still I think 3 years is a heavy exageration... Even in the most congested parts I'd say a year at MOST.

This is a good point. But it still stands that usually cases usually don't take a year to go to trial in the US.
