Well, I am bashing child abusers who happen to represent a particular religion. Just because they are religious doesn't mean they should therefore be above all criticism.

What you seem to be implying is that it is ok for members of a religious group to beat up, torture and rape children, but only if they are members of a religion, because it is far worse to be critical of anyone who is part of a religion than to bring child abusers to justice.
