I absolutely love this song (I know it's not the original) but I was curious why "type" of music it falls under? Jazz? And if you'd know, do you guys have any suggestions on songs/artists who sound similar?

I have the full song but itunes merely lists the genre as 'soundtrack'. The full version is basically a rock influenced mambo/bossa-nova type song. As for similar artists, it depends on what aspects of the song you like. I think a good suggestion might be the band Nouvelle Vague. They're a french group that do awesome bossa-nova covers of 80's alternative hits.
Hey thanks man. I've never heard of bossa-nova or Nouvelle Vague before and giving them a listen. Pretty sweet stuff.
I really thought that version of Sway was some sort of Jazz, but I could never find anything that quite have the same kinda smoothness.
Yeah, definitely bossa, maybe an understated sort of neo-tango. If you like this you'll like neo-tango, at least some of it.
