I just saw The Machine perform Pink Floyd. I love Pink Floyd and could say I know more than the veritable average music listener, but there was a lot played from their discography I wasn't too familiar with. The light show was fantastic, but being a dedicated sober human being I could only imagine the trips I would have had. I was very excited. But this thread isn't about The Machine or Pink Floyd. I was thinking about how many concerts I'm missing out being in the Navy.

Later this week, The Smashing Pumpkins are playing in that same tiny little theater, and so is The Offspring. And I wanted to take my girlfriend to go see Lady Antebellum, which is way more for her and her birthday than for me. And last year I missed out on Coldplay after I discovered how wonderful there music is and how I could listen to them over and over. And I'm always going to regret skipping out on the last time System of a Down played. Agh.
