Thread: Woah it's the cops! All minors downstairs right the fuck now!!

So it's 12:43AM and I am now bored as fuck at home.

I was just at a party that got busted. Having never been at a busted party before I didn't realize how fucking funny it is when this happens. I'm 20, but if I'm at a large party I normally don't drink. I prefer to be sober cab just in case anyone really needs a ride.

I was sober tonight talking to some friends in the kitchen when all of a sudden everything goes quiet. I was confused as fuck and all of a sudden two people come into the kitchen and start herding everyone under 21 downstairs. People are freaking out, some almost in tears and all you hear people saying is "Dude, the fucking cops are here." "Are we busted" "Shit! I can't get a minor! *almost tears*" "Everyone in the basement"

Someone tries to grab me and pull me downstairs and I'm just like, No dude. I haven't had a fucking drink. I'm not cramming downstairs with a bunch of freaked out freshmen.

In the end, the cops went downstairs anyway so that was all pointless. I stood there, watching the whole thing and grinning. People were getting pissed at me for grinning, which just made it even funnier. The cops asked for my ID. I showed them, but told them I was sober, and I got sent home.

So all in all, Parties getting busted is funny as hell, but makes for a boring rest of your night when you're stuck at home waiting to pick your friends up from the bar.

It was more directed at the entire party than just you. But whoever did that was fucking stupid. When I was in high school cops would show up to parties all the time. We'd just lock the doors, turn down the music and ignore them till they left.

A similar event happened in my high school days. Except all we were doing was watching the new episode of south park where they show Mohamed. No one was drunk or even drinking yet. All the beer was stored snugly in the fridge. There wasn't even any music and hardly any noise that could be heard outside the four walls of the living room. When the episode was over we were about to pull out the beer when one idiot opened the front door to have a smoke only to find a cop standing there. The idiot yelled and ran for the back door where another cop was waiting. The cops entered people scattered despite there being no alcohol in sight. It was pretty retarded. We were obviously sabotaged by some lonely soul who wasn't invited.

I prefer to not spend my drinking time with underagers unless they're really cool. I mean apart from the whole ID complications they're usually overdramatic weirdos who can't handle their drink and cry a lot.

It was really awkward/awesome for the couple years when I was over 21 but still going to college parties, and the cops would show up and I'd just chill drinking my beer and saying "sup" to the cops while all the minors got kicked out/ticketed. They never asked me for my ID or anything, I guess they figure if you're not bothering to hide that you're obviously of legal age to drink. Moral of the story is if you're a minor, greet them at the door, beer in hand, and when they go into the back of the place to find the minors, simply sneak out the front door!
I guess that depends on the police around you and the venue you're at (high school kegger in a neighborhood versus college party in a college apartment). The cops that busted up parties at my college were always cool as hell as long as you weren't endangering yourself or others (or pissing in a parking garage). Now excise cops, on the other hard, those folks are the devil and I became an expert at spotting undercover excise officers and escorting them from the premises, reminding them of our rights as private property owners. Little buggers would just climb in fucking windows and shit to try to bust your parties
