So my doctor told me today that the surgery I'm gonna need is pretty major. It's called an osteochondral allograft. I have to go to a fucking special surgeon that does this specifically. There's no doctor in New Jersey that does them. I'll probably have to go to New York or something.

What is gonna happen is they're gonna take a piece of cadaver (cadaver!) femur and cartilage and replace parts of my femur and insert more cartilage into my knee joint where I don't have any. My doctor said he's never seen this problem in someone as young as me.

So I'm on crutches now to take some pressure off of it until I can find a surgeon to perform this. And I have to lose even more weight than I have been which will only help with the pressure.

The only upside to this is handicapped parking, and the fact that I got to sit in the handicapped seating tonight at the Yankee game. And that I bought a Mark Teixeira jersey.

Basically I'm a cripple and I want cards in the mail with checks inside. :/
