Default Might apply for a job in a pub

The sign says "Staff wanted. Bar/Restaurant. To include weekends. Over 18."

All I saw was "over 18" and then screamed like a little schoolgirl because that, as of recent events, includes me.

Anyone worked in a pub/bar/whorehouse before?

My old man was a bouncer for a pub and one of my good friends was the doorman for the Sky Bar in SLC for a while. They both said the same thing: It's like any other job but you meet more drunks.

There's not a lot to it. You walk around and pick up empty glasses and bottles from tables. Wipe down empty tables, and serve drinks.

I was eyeing up a job writing descriptions for beds this summer. Luckily I don't need a job though.

It's fun, depending on the atmosphere of the place you're working in. Drunk people come in all shapes, sizes, and concentrations. Sometimes it's a blast, and sometimes you really want to shoot yourself and/or others.

    Good experience, though. Recommended.

Not a bad job if you can tolerate the hours. Expect to be there 1-2 hours after close (meaning 2-3 hours after last call.)

I've waited a few tables in a bar here in San Diego. Surprisingly the tips were above average but I really had a good time doing it.

the tips were "above average" because you're probably used to working shitty delivery jobs and getting 5 cents change back as your tip

bartenders usually make great tips in general as far as i know

It would be kind of annoying watching everyone get drunk and talking crap to you while you worked. I doubt it would be 'bad' though, better atmosphere than most work environments.

I had a lot of fun being a bartender and made off pretty well in tips.

But you won't be bartending if you don't know the owner or don't have a good set of tits.
