I like the idea of my own forum. I do post sometimes, still. If no one wants to make me a forum here, I can try to on my own, if I remember how, I wanted to make some changes, since it is about 5 years old, an upgrade could be nice, my life is a bit different than 5 years ago.
The person from the data center didn't return my emails, so I still work at the restaurant.
I am really worried about failing the military physical though. I only have two months to still train.
If we had a rap forum, I would visit more often, myself; but not everyone likes rap, so you could include something for them like a metal or board game forum which I might also like.
Also I liked the sps where we could buy stuff. If you don`t want to give us real goods because of the cost involved, virtual goods would be cool too, like custom smilies, or something. Or where instead of sps we get things like tokens where we can enter draws, that way it would be cheaper, since not everyone would be guaranteed a prize every time.
Also I like the awards idea, such as awards for best thread, best post, best poster, etc especially if prizes were involved.
I kind of like the girls of cd calendar. Especially if it was autographed.
Besides, even if some of us don't have real friends, we could still have online friends. They can be just as real as friends you know in real life. It is just so expensive to hang out with online friends in real life, when you are so far away.
I like this site, I hope you don't shut it down.

Let's just copy SomethingAwful, steal some features from Facebook, and buy some adspace on Google. Other than that, I don't see any free alternative besides some collective effort on our behalf either in the form of monies spent on some grand aggressive advertising campaign of a besmirchingly clever idea, or a spurious and dedicated scheme of advertising on other forums (forum invasion?).
To be honest, I propose focusing on reworking what we got here and then working to attract more people later. You know that old saying, "You attract more people with gold and jewels opposed to a dead baby and a pile of shit."
Look at our competition. From the Facebook behemoth to rogue chan boards, they all have something to offer that promotes some kind of community. If we review our predecessor, various levels of success and failure were met through an internet store that offered tangible products and services to improve a user's account, looking the other way on pirated material, a concept to turn posting into a game, an aggresive approach to expand the community amongst other communities in a spiderweb-like connection, and eventually relying on advertising and SEO[emo hair thread] to capitalize on popular trends. Ultimately, as we all know, these features failed or eventually removed, and I could only guess there was not enough compensation for David or the crew responsible for bringing any of that to LWS. Kind of a demotivating factor that just really left everything unpolished and removing the desire to take the start of those products and improve them. We can't forget that a lot of loonies posted and were eventually brought down in a public posting debacle (hi, I'm PureOwnage be my friend for SP, zeromusmog posting 1000 posts/day, extremeyaris exposed at his school by LWS detectives for cheating, etc.) really brought the community together. There were some bright minds that did make excellent posts. On top of that, a very good core mod staff especially that MadPinoRage fella who posted gore all the time. Finally, before I finish this paragraph off, Zoints really dealienated the core member base by just attempting to remove some of the popular forums out onto their own. Then David left and sold everything to that dothead, and well here we are now to learn from the mistakes of the past and figuring out a way to make this better of just being silly... and I really as I read back through my post trying to figure out where I started from and where I'm going to end this... because I'm been up nearly 48 hours, in the middle of the ocean, wondering when I can stand down to go hit the rack for some sleep operations, downing my fifth or sixth energy drink, I guess I just want to say that Final Fantasy VII is and was the greatest game is and ever made.

No, the internet makes nothing redundant. It exposes and amplifies the entertainment value of everything. You can find sites dedicated to dead babies and piles of shit, if you could imagine altogether on some sites, but those web czars whom polish their site will see a rise in community activity.

have gina write CD on her forehead for her 8000 subscribers
tl;dr but have you tried the hipster approach? that is, not caring about getting new users? and then new users begin posting because ironic nihilism at near-meta levels is the vogue?

Allow us to put people in friends lists and call it Circles. Then instead of categories have something like that called Sparks. Then instead of talking to each other we can "Hangout" Also make it super exclusive at first. Invite only. People will be begging to join.
can we at least get this as a smilie?
so many fuckin applications for it. plus it will show new spambots members how fun and hip we are
shit that's a good idea tbh
Gina has 8000 subscribers. CD has 7500 members.
coincidence?
I think not.
People wear them. Once in Arkansas I saw a guy wearing one AND a jo bY crystal.
