Anyone else got it? I picked it up today, and have been playing the campaign for a few hours. I like it so far.
I've heard it is a $60 map pack for MW2 confirm/deny

Whoa whoa, what?
4.5 hours for the campaign?? I thought BF3 was short at about 8 hours... That sounds really...cheap and shit.
And from what I've seen on video reviews its just lots of explosions and quick time events...
So...how is it better than the BF3 campaign, cos it really doesn't sound it, although I was expecting it to be better than the BF3 campaign, I'm not anymore.
Also why is a short campaign to be expected with FPS games? That's not true, only shit games have short campaigns...
edit: lol...this is what it shows when MW3 crashes apparently.

This along with the reuse of some buildings...yeah, waste of money. mw3 blows.

The story was much better in MW3, and the ending was a SHITLOAD better. I didnt even know BF3 was over till I saw the credits roll. The ending to MW3 is great.
FOS games have short campaigns, we all know they mainly focus on the multiplayer.
And I played a little survival and Spec Ops with a friend last night. Its pretty fun.
what the hell is FOS?
oh you mean fps?
not really (at all)...half life 1/2, crysis, deus ex..most of the good fps have decent (15-20 hours) length campaigns...more so the older the game is it seems.
It's only recently, say the past few years that game developers have decided that fps's don't need a long campaign, which, imo, is retarded.
as for all fps games focusing on the multiplayer, no. just no.
hl2 is one of, if not, the best fps to date (imo, anyway, and I'm not the only one) and the mp for that is minimal, not counting cs.
sure there is dm/tdm, but the story is what made the game great.

are known* lol.
and yeah lol i did know, but only once i realised the o and p are next to each other on keyboard lol...i was typing as i was thinking.
and yeah when you put it like that it makes sense. but still. i understand it for battlefield 3, as that is mainly online, so it made sense having a short single player (8 hours). but i've always considered cod to be about both, a lot of people really love the storyline, the characters, and what happens in it and all the other good stuff that makes a good campaign. so for it to be more about the sp than bf3 is, but have a campaign just over half the length...
i mean come on, i'm pretty sure the half life 2 episodes were longer than that each. 15 quid they were...

Can't be doing with Call of Duty any more. It's all about Battlefield again for me.
Gave up on COD a few months into Black Ops

Never really got into mw2.
But yeah, it's all about bf3 now.

Freaking wow.Modern Warfare 3 is expected to bring in between $1.5 billion and $1.6 billion, estimates Arvind Bhatia, managing director of Sterne Agee & Leach. For comparison, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows : Part 2 grossed $1.3 billion.

I'm basing whatever the hell I said way up there ^ on multiplayer. I never even touch singleplayer

@Shitface: I only played about an hour of MW3 campaign so far, but as far as I can tell, I have seen 0 quick time events, if you wanna talk about quick time events, I think you may have been referring to BF3.. there were a lot in there..
I never owned MW2 so I'm not gonna hop on this shit about "wahwahwah i'm paying $60 for a map pack", theoretically I got it from Amazon for $51.99 no tax or shipping with release day shipping so, I'm happy. I would have preferred they offered $20 Amazon credit as they did with BF3. I haven't touched BF3 since MW3 came out, then again I haven't touched my PS3 much since I got my DotA2 beta key, but I definitely already spent at least 9 hours on multiplayer.
That being said, I'm confident MW3 will stay in my PS3 much longer, only because a few friends have BF3, and much more have MW3. It's much better to play with friends of course. I do however think the multiplayer was a bit rusty, hoping it would get patched up, and I can definitely say that I enjoyed Black Ops much better, but I sold it off for $30 before it's value would drop with the release of MW3.
i dont play online because im a skint student and I'd never do my dissertation, so short campaigns are pretty cool for me, but at £40 a game I'd be homeless.
My Uncle gives me all his games once he's finished the campaign but he's slow so I dont get them for months. I've just swapped Assassins Creed Brotherhood for his MW3 but by the sounds of it I'll have to persuade him to buy Battlefield3.

I just finished it. 8 hours. I liked it but I'm glad I didnt pay for it.

I got winter break for another 3 weeks so I'm gonna spend it finishing all my other single player games haha. Eventually rolling my way back to BF3 on hard and MW3 on Veteran.
@crapoo, well I could be wrong about MW3 being lots of QTE, I was just going on what I read...
I know BF3 has lots, but I never said it didn't so..
I definately meant MW3, but yeah, could easily be wrong.
