Now I realize we all hate our jobs, and if you don't, then either you have a good job or the man has already ground your soul into dust. For a while now, I have been debating whether or not to quit my Night Auditing job for a number of reasons. The most practical reason to quit this job is because the pay is horrible and now they suspended the bonuses that added $75 - $200 dollars a check. The bonuses also made it worthwhile to listen to insane rants by guests (my favorite outburst so far included how someone refused to sleep in a room with white walls because it was Tuesday).

The other reason I think I should quit is because the urge to shoot guests in the face is mounting. Then again, all service industry employees feel that way about their customers.

Anyway, I've checked my savings and low end figure is I can go about 5 months without any income though I have already snagged a part time job that I am hoping to turn into a full time position. Yet, everyone who I have spoken to so far has thought that quitting was a horrible idea. I do realize that the job market and economy isn't the best (insert political outburst here), but I am having a hard time justifying keeping the job. Now that I am making about $300 dollars less due to the loss of bonuses, the health insurance is really the only pro.

I guess I'd like some other opinions or advice from anybody, but if you happen to have been in a similar situation I'd love to hear it.
