sweet, now people that cant remember who their kids are can shoot people
I know people who are sound of mind, but have terrible arthritis.
a .45acp is simply too much for them to handle.
People of all ages and physical states should be able to defend themselves.
if its for defence purposes why is it being sold as medicinal
i'm pretty sure its not for defence
I saw this a while back. FDE already said no.
IMO, it is stupid to try and market it as a medical item. But it does look easy to use.
oh wait you mean guns aren't like in the movies where someone who has never shot one before can just pull the trigger and not be knocked back?
so you mean grandpa will think that guns operate like that in real life and be knocked backwards when trying to ward off the intruder, completely missing him and breaking his hip in the process?
gee, i wonder what else they wrong in hollywood. i mean csi's portrayal of forensics can't be wrong and yet influence trials, for example.
CSI is 100% accurate.
And I actually think this gun might have low recoil. Since it is single shot, it wont have teh weight of the slide racking to load the next round.
That does have alot to do with it. But a lighter gun will recoil more. And on semi auto pistols, the slide flying back and then back up to chamber the next round will add some felt recoil.
Me and my friend both have a pistol chambered in .40 S&W. Mine is aluminum with a steel slide, his is polymer with a steel slide. Recoil on his feels stronger due to the lighter weight of the pistol.
Yeah, that's no surprise... I was going to put that in my post but I got lazy.
Anyways, the point was that a smaller gun would either have nearly the same recoil or worse recoil than a larger one.

I wonder how many old people would use this to keep those damn kids from skateboarding on the sidewalks.?
It's not like the recoil of a pistol is going to knock someone over... are the elderly really concerned about the second shot?
