I am always cautious to evaluate a large group of people based on its lowest examples, but in this case I have to suspect that the foresight to even come up with an idiotic plan like this sets them somewhere near the middle of the pack.
Do they not realize that they are killing their own purchasing power at this point? They are obviously going to be paying a premium for products from black-owned businesses (if black-owned business already created more value for consumers, they wouldn't be struggling and needing idiotic measures like this to "save" them.)
I'm also moderately exhausted with the stupid racism card. The truth is that we are naturally inclined to associate with people most like us, and we tend to grow up in areas segregated not based on race, but based on various socio-economic factors that have been reinforced within racial groups over the past 2-300 years. There's a reason that wealthy Indians and wealthy whites often co-mingle, while wealthy blacks are often self-segregated: because wealthy blacks are usually first-generation and wealthy whites and Indians were usually raised with money.
