Thread: Chronicle [2012]

I saw Chronicle yesterday and really enjoyed the film. I liked the documentary perspective because I think it was just a [clever] way for them to break the fourth wall and give us engaging insights to the characters. I don't think the characters would have been as interesting if the film wasn't done like this.

I think Steve and Matt were great friends with Andrew, but I felt a little tormented watching Andrew deny them in the latter half of the film. They were bonding so well together. I think the party scene was the beginning of the downfall for Andrew because before hand you see Matt confessing his admiration for their friendship who then gives the camera to Steve, and then we see Steve all excited for Andrew and he's so hyped. I started to think "uh-oh this is where things take a turn for the worse. "
