Anybody here play chess? I'm looking to get into this game more. Any tips? Recommendations?
Plus, anybody up for a game sometime?

Ok I don't you usually tell people my strategies but:
what you got to do if you want to win is, like, take a lot of their pieces without losing many of your own (unless it gets you space and shit), then you get their king where next move you could take it whatever they do
i'm down for random chess
oh yeah and I'm totally up for a game
pm me if you want to play
keep in mind i don't know any java applets off the top of my head, so i hope you know all this info!
Well, there are a few I've been checking out. Chess.com seems pretty cool. 64squar.es also seems like it could work. I don't know if anybody knows anything about them.
Okay, somebody move this thread to the dedicated analog game forum that I so obviously missed.

hi my name is coq i spend my off time gnawing the roots of yggdrasil how are you doing today?
So far, I've tried some of the free chess sites and chess.com seems to be the best one (as far in browser playing). It does cost money to access some features (like the chess coach, making a group, etc.) but we don't really need those.
My name is SpaceCowboy if anybody wants to join and add me.
I like playing chess against other people, even if they are waaay beyond my skill level. It's fun that way. When you go against the computer who is beyond your skill level, you just get pissed and fast.
I play chess and would be looking forward to playing you, but I won't be available until next month. If you are still into the game and want to get into a game then let me know.
