you need to complete blood on the ice to buy the house.

i have pickpocketed the key to the house from the dead woman in house shatter shield or whatever (lol suicide after she lost her daughters (lol oops)) and i can get inside the house but its just covered in blood and i can't get the option to clean the house up from the jarls aide still. he still just says theres a house available but theres been unpleasantness...
