Who saw it and what did you think? I thought it was hilarious. I might go see it again later.
It was fucking awesome. Woody Harrelson was the man in that movie.
They did a great job combing comedy into a zombie flick. Not as good as Shaun of the Dead IMO, but good nevertheless. I'll probably see it again.
I'm going next week for my birthday. Should be a blast, as you guys are easily reinforcing the awesomeness oozing from this movie.
Raidmax Smilodon - ASUS M2N-E - AMD Athlon X2 5200+ @2.6Ghz - EVGA GTX260 896MB - Corsair 450VX
Audigy2 ZS - Medusa 5.1 Headphones - Logitech x530 - Logitech G5 - Logitech Classic Keyboard
320GB Seagate SATA (Primary) - 640GB WD Black (Storage) - Lite-On LH-20AIL
Much better than I expected, I have to watch Shaun of the Dead again to compare the two.
Why compare the two?
One is about surviving the beginning of a zombie outbreak.
One is about the aftermath.
The objectives of the movies are entirely different. It's like comparing Platoon with Gettysburg. Both are war movies, but comparing them is foolish as they're going for different things.

I mean, in that regard, I should hold Mortal Kombat and Silent Hill to the same standard, because they're both based off a video game - despite one of the movies being shit and the other being art. Platoon was good, but Gettysburg had better speeches. They're both war movies. Night of the Living Dead wasn't as good as Shaun of the Dead, but Night sure was scarier.
I think, on the surface, a base comparison can be made, but any deeper analysis would be doing a disservice to both movies.
The story of Silent Hill wasn't very good, and hard to follow at times, but everything I was watching was beautiful. It was one of the prettiest movies I've ever seen, including Tarim's "The Fall". If Silent Hill had any kind of story or strong acting to back it, it would have been fantastic. Instead, I merely view it as a series of increasingly disturbing and beautiful pictures.
hey mortal kombat is an amazing movie, setting a standard that all video game movies must aspire to
or was that street fighter
I'm gooong to keek that sonofabitches Bison's ass sooo herd that ovary Bison wannabe is gonna feel eet.
Guyse Kylie Minogue is a really underrated actress.
YOU CAME EXPECTING TO FIND A MAN, BUT INSTEAD... YOU FOUND... A... GAWWWWWDDDDDDD
Guess what mal you can compare two movies that both try to be funny
You can compare anything. I can compare an apple and an orange as fruit, but if I'm judging one on citrus then the orange is going to win out.
"This is my favorite zombie outbreak movie!"
"No, Timmy, you gargantuan faggot monster, this is a zombie aftermath movie. They're entirely different genres and I'm ashamed of you get out of my house."
Mock me if you will.
That's a stand alone message.
yeah mal you really made a pretty crap point in this thread that nobody REALLY disagrees with
In conclusion, Mal is wrong
That's typically how it is anyway.
lol yeah, that whole bit with him is hilarious
emma stone is hawt.
also pretty good movie
Not as laugh out loud funny as I thought it would be but I really enjoyed it especially the opening montage.
Unthinking respect for authority is the greatest enemy of truth.
Albert Einstein
I laughed constantly for the first half, but the last kind of dragged on until the climax
This is an excellent point, and fuck anyone who disagrees
Lol Neither one of those movies were very good
You can, but his point still remains the same. It's almost apples and oranges.
THIS
I just saw this movie recently and I really liked it, definitely looking forward to more of them.
